The brand Purito is blessing us with a whole line based on Centella Asiatica (CA).
This is a unique plant regarding its effects on the skin, although it looks like a weed.
In China this plant is called “The fountain of youth”. In Ayurveda CA is called Gotu Kola, “a pharmacy in one herb”. It is found in most tropical and subtropical
countries growing in swampy areas, including parts of East Asia, the north of
Australia and New Guinea. The primary active constituents of CA are saponins (also called triterpenoids), asiatic and madecassic acids, asiaticoside, centelloside, vitamin C, polyacetylene compounds, flavonoids, tannins. Extract of CA is used in
cosmetology for preventing premature aging and for strengthening the weakened veins (as a sign of rosacea). CA speeds up wound healing and assists in the maintenance of connective tissue via increasing collagen synthesis up to 30% in the deep layers of the skin.
Centella Green Level Buffet Serum contains 49% of CA extract, niacinamide, camellia leaf extract, adenosine, ceramide, sodium hyaluronate, etc. The manufacturer claims that all the herbs were picked and sorted by hand. My comments: Beauty products with Centella are always a jackpot. This serum is a clear liquid with a really nice plant scent most probably due to the CA flavor (it is the main ingredient after all). Serum adsorbs very fast and makes the skin supple, firm and smooth. I do not expect any miracles from a serum by itself. It does its job silently. But using the whole Purito line with Centella I noticed that my nasty painful hormonal cysts (those ones that cannot be treated with anything) are calming down.
This serum reduces swelling and inflammation, makes the skin smooth and
nourishes it. I honestly like everything about this serum. After using 10 samples I
will definitely purchase full-sized product.
