My favorite brand Purito launched a new eye cream with Centella Asiatica!

I felt in love with this brand about three years ago when I got a sample of their Vitamin C serum. And it was love from the first sight I should admit. You know, I have always an immediate feeling about a new product if it suits me. My skin kind of tells me that this cream or serum will be beneficial for it. It was always the case with almost every Purito product in a positive way. Yes, almost everything from their products became a HG for me. And this concerns a new eye cream as well! Purito Centella Green Level Calming toner–review

A new product in Purito centella asiatica line is produced under the motto: KEEP CALM & APPLY CENTELLA TONER.

This toner contains 10% Centella Asiatica extract in a highly-enriched powder form to help improve skin texture and Witch Hazel extract which anti-inflammatory effect helps to calm the skin. Witch Hazel and Centella Asiatica are known for ages for their healing properties in eczema and dermatitis treatment. Nowadays they are also used in cosmetics as anti-aging ingredients. My comments: Why, oh why did I order only 10 samples of this toner and use 5 of them the first day I got them? Regarding the experience I already had with the other products from Purito I should have known better than not to order at once the full-sized toner or even a bunch of them. Purito is a trustworthy brand with a natural and ‘honest’ approach to skincare, focusing on safe and pure ingredients. And their products are really effective!

And here are my thoughts about this toner. It has a very pleasant gel-like texture and the most amazing and light scent within the whole Purito centella line. It feels a bit slippery and spreads/pats easily on the skin without any need for rubbing to help it absorb. Once applied, it leaves no sticky residue or heaviness yet it is very moisturizing. This toner is perfect one for “7 skins” method although three layers are already quite enough. This is definitely very suitable for sensitive or problem skin. I liked everything about this toner and the full-sized product is already on its way to me.

PURITO Defence Barrier pH Cleanser

PURITO Defence Barrier pH Cleanser is a foam-like face cleanser. The product claims to have a formula with a pH level of 5.5, that supposedly must protect even the most sensitive of skins against dryness and irritation. Just to remind you, the comfortable pH levels for a healthy skin is between 4.7 and 5.7. Products like this do not damage the healthy skin barrier. Unfortunately, there are not so many cleansers with low pH levels out there. Because, usually, regular cleansers have acidic pH levels, which varies between 8.5 and 10. You should try the cleanser products with low pH levels if you have:

Sensitive skin
Dermatitis
Eczema (atopic dermatitis)
Couperose (skin with this condition refers to a sensitive one, but Centella Asiatica, as a part of ingredients of the cleanser, helps to ease the symptoms)
Rosacea
Acne/ any other skin rashes

My comments: I have a very forgiving skin, so I do not care much about pH levels of my cleansers. But for many owners of sensitive and problematic skin, it is very important to know that there is a reliable tool on a market. Due to the of the generosity of some online sellers, I have a lot of PURITO brand testers. Usually I take them with me to all my trips, so that I will have first couples of days pimples-free (the break out begins only on day 3 ?). The cleanser is transparent, with a mild herbal scent and makes a nice foam. There is no need for additional sponges or bottles if you want to use it.

P.S Testers are the greatest of inventions. You can order them to try the product yourself, before investing in a full-size bottle. And it might be that this cleanser will fit you, and you could wash the face with water, and not with the “waterless washing” method.

PURITO Fermented 94 Boosting Essence

Don’t be confused about the word “Essence” in the name of this Purito product. It is a watery and transparent liquid which belongs in my opinion to Treatment Toners. These are boosters and provide an instant shot of hydration and nutrients to your skin and prep your skin to accept your other skincare products. This essence has a concentrated formula with fermented ingredients, pro-biotics, niacinamid, etc. The full list of ingredients you can find here.

This toner/essence will work well for all skin types. The manufacturer promises long lasting moisturization, healthy inner glow, evening out of the skin tone in case of hyper-pigmentation, reduction of the redness, irritations and inflammations.

My comments: You may ask: What? Not another bottle with a strange “booster” name… BUT! This essence can easily replace toner in your routine with additional benefits of pure and natural ingredients. After a week of daily usage I have found that all my inflammations have just disappeared! And I did not use any special treatment. Also my skin became very smooth without any dry patches so it was a real pleasure to apply a bb cream. And this essence is great in tightening up the pores! So, there are my thoughts: This toner is simply amazing, works well and it has a nice price tag. Highly recommended!

PURITO Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence

Lately I write lots of reviews about the products of Purito brand. It is not only because I am in love with Purito cosmetics, but also because of their philosophy. Their philosophy is to be honest and make safe, natural products, without artificial fragrances, preservatives, surfactants and PEG’s; to make eco-friendly packaging when possible and not to conduct animal testing.

And now about essence itself. The main ingredients are Galactomyces ferment filtrate (92%) rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, peptides, and Niacinamid (5% – it is a very high percentage for Korean skincare, so it will help brighten your skin tone). The full list of ingredients you can find here. This essence doesn’t contain any preservatives and it is made in small batches. They recommend placing this in the refrigerator and using it quickly. The manufacturer promises brightening of hyper-pigmentation, reduction of fine lines, moisturization and sebum production control.

My comments: I did not notice anything special the first week of usage and I was about to write that I did not recommend this essence. But during the second week my hyper-pigmentation became considerably lighter and I decided to give the essence the second chance. And it was worth it! My skin was so smooth and supple to the touch after I applied this essence. I felt that the essence gave my skin a quick boost of moisturizing hydration. It absorbs quickly, without any greasy or sticky residue. The essence is very delicate and it is great for every skin type including sensitive one.

Purito Deep Sea Pure Water Cream

This cream is a very lightweight moisturizer which contains the 60% of deep sea water to strengthens the skins natural barrier with the help of natural minerals, to moisturize skin deeply, to reduce skin inflammation and to remove the dead skin cells. It also contains niacinamide (Vitamin B3) as skin restoring ingredient which visibly improves the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and fine lines. This is a new cream from PURITO which contains not only 50% Centella Asiatica extract, but also its derivatives asiatic and madecassic acids. Asiatic acid is an anti-aging compound, that helps to plump up your skin, prevents wrinkles, fine lines and scar tissue forming, it has anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling properties. Madecassic acid helps in the production of collagen and reduces swelling, therefore it will make your skin more supple and firm. Besides, this cream also contains macadamia oil, which prevents water loss from your skin tissues. It is also high in phytosterols, which helps calm and soothe irritated skin. Argan oil is reputed to help reduce wrinkles by restoring the skin’s hydro-lipid layer. It soothes skin ailments such as chickenpox, acne, psoriasis, and dry eczema. Witch hazel extract reduces the look of pores, stops excess oil production and is known as a varicose remedy which lessens leakage from veins and strengthens the blood vessels. My comments: It is a lightweight cream with soft light scent. It dries down to a matte finish, really moisturizing the skin. After applying, the skin gets a velvety touch and becomes instantly firm. I think this cream is not moisturizing enough for dry skin or during winter. It’s really nice that the brand makes samples. I liked this cream a lot and will repurchase the full version of it.

PURITO Centella Green Level All In One Mild Pad

Those pads are for delicate cleansing, soft exfoliation and moisturizing. The surface of the pad has rough and smooth sides. I was convinced to buy those pads because of two things. Firstly, the core ingredient is Centella Asiatica (10%) which is famous for its wide therapeutic and anti-age actions. Secondly, the pad sample containing two pieces of pad inside is a convenient solution for travelling. There is a full-sized version as well with 70 pads in it.

The rich Centella Asiatica extract is not the only active ingredient. Within other ingredients you can find BHA acid to help eliminate dead skin cells, asiatic acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties, helps reducing swelling, stimulates hyaluronic acid and collagen synthesis. It also contains madecassic acid, which increases the production of collagen and elastin, reduces swelling, and allantoin, which is responsible for soft exfoliation. More moisturizing and soothing ingredients can be found with arginin, helping with cellular renewal. Licorice root extract is a great brightening agent. Besides, there is also tea tree leaf oil extract.

The manufacturer suggests to use these pads not only for face, neck and decollete, but also for elbows, lips, eye lids, back, breast and even for heels.

So far, I am liking Purito Centella pads. The scent is not very pronounced, there is no need to either rinse the face off after using the pad or apply toner afterwards. Pads are great not only for cleansing but also for moisturizing. The skin feels smoother, cleaner and refreshed as it should be after exfoliation. And since these pads are so mild and gentle, all skin types can benefit from them, including sensitive type.

PURITO Centella Green Level Buffet Serum–review

The brand Purito is blessing us with a whole line based on Centella Asiatica (CA).
This is a unique plant regarding its effects on the skin, although it looks like a weed.
In China this plant is called “The fountain of youth”. In Ayurveda CA is called Gotu Kola, “a pharmacy in one herb”. It is found in most tropical and subtropical
countries growing in swampy areas, including parts of East Asia, the north of
Australia and New Guinea. The primary active constituents of CA are saponins (also called triterpenoids), asiatic and madecassic acids, asiaticoside, centelloside, vitamin C, polyacetylene compounds, flavonoids, tannins. Extract of CA is used in
cosmetology for preventing premature aging and for strengthening the weakened veins (as a sign of rosacea). CA speeds up wound healing and assists in the maintenance of connective tissue via increasing collagen synthesis up to 30% in the deep layers of the skin.
Centella Green Level Buffet Serum contains 49% of CA extract, niacinamide, camellia leaf extract, adenosine, ceramide, sodium hyaluronate, etc. The manufacturer claims that all the herbs were picked and sorted by hand. My comments: Beauty products with Centella are always a jackpot. This serum is a clear liquid with a really nice plant scent most probably due to the CA flavor (it is the main ingredient after all). Serum adsorbs very fast and makes the skin supple, firm and smooth. I do not expect any miracles from a serum by itself. It does its job silently. But using the whole Purito line with Centella I noticed that my nasty painful hormonal cysts (those ones that cannot be treated with anything) are calming down.
This serum reduces swelling and inflammation, makes the skin smooth and
nourishes it. I honestly like everything about this serum. After using 10 samples I
will definitely purchase full-sized product.
